Born and raised in Indianapolis, Poonam Gill holds an electrical engineering degree, is a mom to three young children, and a daughter to Indian immigrants. She is a STEM advocate and has spent the last decade volunteering in her community. Poonam is a strong believer that government should represent the people – through economic, occupational, and ethnic diversity. The path to getting there is by stepping up and running for office. As the next State Representative for Indiana House District 88, Poonam is committed to redistricting reform, supporting quality public education, and ensuring Hoosier children grow up in a safe and healthy environment.
