A first generation immigrant from Sudan, Mo has overcome countless obstacles to become a successful attorney, dedicated volunteer and mentor, and experienced small business owner as well as an appointee to Alexandria’s Community Criminal Justice Board. By 16, he was working at McDonald’s after school alongside his siblings and mother just to make ends meet. He went on to put himself through college and law school before working with mentally challenged children, and later immigrants and small business owners.
Mo Seifeldein hopes to refocus local politics on the interests of residents rather than big business. He is the only candidate for City Council in Alexandria, VA to pledge not to take money from corporations and developers. Mo wants to restore the public trust in government and fight for affordable housing, small business owners, better education, and improve transportaion.
