Gicola Lane began working in her community at the age of 14, bringing awareness to predatory lending practices in her neighborhood.
Gicola is a Nashville native and graduate of Metro Nashville Public Schools. She is a Statewide Organizer. Most recently, she led the successful charter referendum to create Nashville’s first Community Oversight Board.
Gicola is running for Metro Council At-Large to restore trust and transparency in Metro government, redefine criminal justice and safety, and advocate for equity in housing, education, and employment.
When elected, Gicola will be the youngest person ever elected At-Large to the Nashville Metro Council.
